flooded basementHigh Tech Basement Systems has been in the basement waterproofing industry for many years now in the Bowling Green, Louisville, and Lexington area. If your home has a leaky, wet basement, you need to get in touch with us ASAP. We can provide professional waterproofing solutions to your home quickly. We use the latest technology and have only trained experts installing our basement waterproofing systems. We know that a lot of homeowners think that just because they don't have a finished basement, they don't need to worry about having any kind of waterproofing system installed. This is not true, it doesn't matter what you use your basement for, or what you plan on using this area of your home for. If you have a basement, you need to be sure that it's sealed so that no water will be able to get inside and cause damage.

Your home is probably the biggest investment you'll ever make, and for this reason, you need to be sure you're doing everything you can to protect every square inch of it. Also, if you ever plan on selling your home, if you don't have a waterproofing system in the basement, prospective home buyers will probably not even want to take time to look at your property - regardless of how beautiful the rest of your home may be. In addition to basement waterproofing we offer bowed wall repair and foundation repair solutions.

We have worked with thousands of homeowners all over the region. There isn't any basement problem we've seen that we haven't been able to fix. We have a crew of basement waterproofers who really know their stuff. They have the training, skills, and experience necessary after years in the business to be able to determine where the water is able to leak inside, and the best, most-effective way to stop it from ever getting inside again. We offer full basement protection for KY and southern OH area homeowners. We care about you, your family, and your home's overall health, and that's why we strictly work with the best waterproofing products available on the market.

Waterproofing Systems

We realize that all homes are not created the same, and for this reason, we offer many different types of water control systems to best serve your needs and your spending budget. If you have standing water in your basement, a musty odor, leaking window wells, wet walls or floors, or any other moisture problem in your basement, we can help. We've seen it all. We cannot stress enough how important it is for homeowners to have their wet basement problem taken care of. If you choose to ignore the problem, it's only a matter of time before the situation will worsen.

Moisture inside of a basement doesn't just ruin your belongings, it can also lead to the development of mold and certain types of dangerous bacteria. Mold is black or dark green in color, and it grows on walls, floors, boxes, curtains, rugs, carpet, or on any kind of organic material it can feed off of. This mold doesn't just look bad, it can also cause many different health problems for you, your family, and even for your pets. Research has shown that mold spores in the air of a home can lead to: breathing problems, sinus infections, rashes, skin irritation, coughing, asthma attacks, allergies, headaches, fatigue, and many other medical conditions you shouldn't have to deal with because of a wet basement. Also, moisture can cause the wooden support beams and floor joists underneath your home to bend, warp, and rot.

To take care of basement moisture and high humidity levels, we can install:

  • Basement sump pumps
  • Dehumidifiers
  • Perimeter drains
  • Various other water control systems

Sump Pumps

basement sump pumpHigh Tech Basement Systems' sump pumps are specially-designed for use inside of a harsh basement environment. As mentioned earlier, it doesn't matter whether you have a finished basement or you ever intend on finishing it. When you have a basement, you need to have sump pumps and other waterproofing systems installed to keep it safe. Our sump pumps will collect water inside of a pit from attached drains. Once the water reaches a certain level, it will be pumped out and away from your home so that it won't build up on your lawn. We also offer battery backup basement sump pumps for ultimate protection against power outages and mechanical failures with the primary pump.

A dehumidifier will help to control the humidity levels inside your basement environment. Mold needs three things to live - moisture, high humidity levels, and organic materials to feed off of. When you remove one of these elements from your basement environment, mold won't be able to grow. These dehumidifiers can be installed quickly since they just sit on top of the basement floor. Also, with controlled humidity levels in your basement, you won't need to worry about the wooden supports and joists becoming swollen or rotten.

basement drain

Our drains can be installed around the perimeter of your basement, and these drains will be connected to the sump pump system underneath your home. Water from around your basement cove (where the floor meets the wall), will be directed via a series of channels to the sump pump pit. Once the water inside the sump pump pit reaches a certain level, it will be pumped out and away from your home. Our basement perimeter drains and other drainage systems can be installed quickly and without much disruption or excavation inside this area of your home.
